The Instructure Product Team is working on implementing a better solution to collect your feedback. Read Shiren's blog for more information.
In SpeedGrader there is currently a few too many clicks for a grader's feedback on an individual question within New Quizzes to be properly saved, leading to faculty spending a significant amount of time crafting feedback that will never be seen by students. As it stands, the grader must write their comments and then hit both "Done" and "Update" to assure that the feedback is saved. If the quiz has questions requiring hand-grading, the grader must also be sure to hit "Update" at the bottom of the quiz to recalculate the student's score.
Can we pare this down to one click for feedback to be saved on individual New Quiz questions (either "Done" or "Update"), or provide a warning when navigating away from that student in SpeedGrader that feedback hasn't been saved (like it does with summative comments)? Alternatively, could the "Update" button at the bottom of the quiz be a universal "save all changes" button for both individual question feedback AND score recalculation?
