[New Quizzes] Show connection status/offer a save button with autosave timer

Problem statement:

When I'm taking a quiz, particularly one that's had a lockdown browser requirement added, I cannot see if I'm still connected to Canvas, and if my attempt is auto-saving while I complete it. If I lose connection to the internet, I may not be able to submit my quiz (particularly essay-type answers) and my work will be lost if I move away from the quiz page - which will happen if I get an 'unable to connect' message from my browser.

Proposed solution:

Provide a timer showing last autosave, and to enable the ability to force-save my quiz so I don't reach the end of an attempt limit and potentially lose my work. This will allow me to identify if I have an issue during my quiz attempt, and prevent lost work if this continues for a length of time (some of the exam-quizzes administered here have lengths in excess of three hours, and are not paginated for very good reason). This will also give me a feeling of certainty that I have control over saving my work periodically during any quiz attempt, without submitting it - there are many cases where I'll only have one attempt permitted and submitting will close that.

Status changed to: Will Not Consider

Hi @Mikee -

When a participant loses connection, there is a warning that appears on the screen. Our Product Team requested that this idea is moved to our Will Not Consider status.
