[New Quizzes] Units in Formula and Numeric Questions

Problem statement:

Pairing values with their corresponding units is a fundamental skill in STEM, but Formula and Numeric questions lack the ability to apply units and multipliers to their answers. This limits our ability to have students work with units and apply unit conversion throughout our assessments.

Proposed solution:

Add the option to specify a default unit, as well as multiple optional units and their relevant multipliers when writing formula and numeric questions. Units should be caps sensitive and allow for Greek characters (or at least those used in SI prefixes). For this example, assume that the formula for the correct answer evaluates to '25'. You could enter a value of 'cm' for the default unit and the question would accept both '25', and '25cm' as correct. You could enter multiple additional units with multipliers, such as 'mm' with a multiplier of '10' (10mm = 1cm) and 'm' with a multiplier of '0.01' (0.01m = 1cm). The question would then also accept '250mm', and '0.25m' as correct answers. The multiplier should also be applied to the accepted error, so an allowed error of 1 cm would become 10 mm or 0.01m. Question authors could select whether students type units with the answer or select them from a drop-down menu.
