At the moment, a Page can either be set to Published or Not Published. As content and curriculum changes from one year to the next, pages must be duplicated in order to be reset from the start, which causes confusion and links from other sets of instructions and course pages to no longer be valid. The only way to correct this is to slowly and intentionally copy content over which is an enormous hassle to navigate and confusing and burdensome to continually update. There is also not a place to draft instructions as we work through them once the page is published. There should be a way to roll over information from "released to students" from an "non-released" area of the page.
Adding in a "Published" and "Non-Published" part of the page (and even assignments) would encourage simpler, more efficient planning from one year to the next and allow teachers to intentionally release or withdraw information, such as answer keys, reviews, and study guides without having to re-upload, re-find, and re-write large portions of the page. It would also create a space for teachers to draft content until it is ready for student eyes.
