The ability to see when FIRST viewed is important for discussions with students and parents when they say they need extensions on work because they haven't had access to the work for whatever reason. Being able to say you first viewed the task on date X is good evidence to support an educator and administrator in their discussions.
There could be a column in the access report for "First time viewed" with the date and time first viewed. This will aid in educators' discussions with students and parents who try to manipulate the truth as to when they first access that specific task and thus need extra time.
