Currently, on the People page in a Canvas course, the "Last Activity" column displays the last interaction date of each user. However, the year is not shown, even if the activity occurred in a previous year. The only way to see the year is by hovering over the date with the mouse, which is not practical for quickly assessing student activity.
If a user's last activity is more than one year in the past, the year should be displayed in the "Last Activity" column. This would prevent misunderstandings and make it immediately clear when a student was last active.
