We have many users who use an environment we maintain who have requested bulk creation and enrollment into their courses. When processing enrollments through SIS Import, it blocks instructors and Subaccount admins the ability to activate/deactivate students in the course. Through research we have found there is a permission to enable activate/deactivate called SIS DATA - Manage at the root account level. We are unable to have these users have access to this permission because it also allows users edit SIS IDs which are crucial to our user accounts and courses.
A permission specific to Activate/Deactivate SIS Imported users would simply resolve this issue. We could then grant the instructors/Admins access to a role specifically around this one permission without worrying that there could be an accidental edit to the SIS ID for Courses or User accounts. Many users in this environment take courses across departments making those SIS IDs extremely important.
