[Rich Content Editor] Enable Quiz questions to be embedded as an object on a canvas page

Problem statement:

Learners want to be able to interact with their learning and get feedback while they are working through content, rather than having to go into separate formative or summative quiz. At the moment we can only do this with external tools (such as h5p or scorm/rise360). But, Canvas New Quiz question-types are superior in many ways (functionality, accessibility, consistency, support for tables and equations, ongoing development, analytics, cd2, etc).

Proposed solution:

We want to be able to add/embed a New Quiz question with feedback within a canvas page (or assignment page) as a standalone activity (or activities) by embedding those items on the page and without the quiz timer, instructions or foregrounding the attempt number. And, also allowing navigation to continue through a module rather than defaulting back on the assignments page. This would allow learners to complete questions, examples, activities, etc during their lesson content and to be able to receive immediate feedback. It maintains consistency and familiarity when learners progress to attempting formative, summative quizzes which would use the full quiz engine. If questions are embedded on an assignment page it would also allow recording within the grade book in the same way that similar external LTI tools can be recorded.

Thank you for submitting this excellent idea. I ultimately landed on adding it to the Expand support for student-driven learning in Canvas theme for further consideration.
