We cannot alter the total grade for New Quizzes directly in Speedgrader; we have to go through Gradebook to manually set the grade to 'complete'. When you pick "show grade as: complete/incomplete" in assignment settings, the grade doesn't automatically change to 'complete' after the instructor has graded the Quiz and it is also not possible to manually set the grade to 'complete' in Speedgrader either. You need to go to Gradebook and alter to 'complete'. Canvas let us know this is due to our assigment settings (maximum score = 0), but it would be consistent if we could select 'complete' in Speedgrader just like in Gradebook.
Making it possible to overrule the total grade in Speedgrader directly - and settting it to 'complete', as opposed to having to go through Grades - regardless of assignment settings. Our institution, like many in our country, evaluates students without numeric grades, so our default setting for (summative) evaluations is to set the total grade as zero and grading through rubrics.
