[Student Grades] Place an Icon in the Student Gradebook When an External Tool Submits Something to Be Graded

Problem statement:

When students submit an assignment that is an external tool, there is no item in the gradebook to indicate that an item has been submitted but not yet graded. Having this icon would be helpful to communicate to parents and students whether or not an assignment has already been submitted.

Proposed solution:

Add an icon in the gradebook for when an external tool has a submission and is awaiting a grade.

Problem statement:

When students submit an assignment that is an external tool (for example, Google Assignments, Flip, Nearpod, etc.), there is no item in the students' Grades page to indicate that an item has been submitted but not yet graded. It is simply a dash next to the possible points for the assignment. See the screenshot below. Having this icon is essential in communicating to parents and students whether or not an assignment has already been submitted.

Proposed solution:

Include an icon (such as the paper icon for assignments) for submitted external tools. See the screenshot below.
