Students often do not read the comments left in Canvas. These comments are intended to support student learning and often serve as necessary feedback for the revision process as well as building learning for future assignment. When students neglect to access and read comments, they limit learning opportunity. Is it possible to add a feature in Canvas Grading where students must read comments before having their overall grade released?
It would be helpful to have a feature where an instructor could select an option where students must read the comments and confirm "receipt read" BEFORE their overall grade for the assignment is released. Having this as an option in Canvas would allow the instructor to apply this feature for assignments that require comments be accessed and read for learning.
