[Studio] Remove multiple scroll bars that appear in the Chrome Browser when placing a studio quiz into an assignment

Problem statement:

There are two extra scroll bars that appear on the container for a Canvas Studio quiz when placed on a Canvas Assignment while using the Chrome web browser. After testing other browsers we found that Safari works perfectly with no extra scroll bars, Chrome and Edge have two extra bars, and Firefox has one extra bar. Unfortunately our district uses Chromebooks for our 1:1 student devices, so we are stuck with Chrome and the extra scroll bars create added difficulty for users while navigating the activity.

Proposed solution:

I'm not sure how LTI works with different browsers, but if things could work the same in Chrome as they do in Safari it would be great!

Thank you for taking the time to share this with the Community! Have you explored this with Instructure Support? I wonder if the feature is working as intended or if you have identified a bug.

Hi @KristinL, thank you for fielding my issue.  I did reach out to Instructure Support and their suggestion was to submit this as a feature request.  The full response is below for reference:

I do apologize for the inconvenience but this is intended and how they will work as there is an external tool container that needs to be added to have the Studio Quiz be accessible, and the Studio Quiz itself will have it's own scroll bar as it fits inside the container, but is slightly larger than that. Also, the page itself will have it's own scroll bar.

Unfortunately, there is not a way to get to change this manually, but you could submit a feature request by following this guide where you could request that this be changed in a way that wouldn't show multiple scroll bars.
