For users to be temporarily enrolled in a course, the enrollments and withdraws must be manually done. For example, if access is needed for an accreditation visit or outside course review, we often have to manually add and remove the user from a specific course, manually tracking the enrollments to know when to go back and withdraw someone and from which courses. It would be great to be able to put a time limit on the enrollment and then the user could automatically be removed from the course.
When enrolling a user in a course, it would be great to be able to set date and time parameters for the enrollment period of that user, similar to what is currently in Beta for the Temporary Enrollments in the 12/17 release notes but without having the enrollment linked to another user. There could simply be a checkbox option when adding a user to Canvas know it is a temporary enrollment, which would then expand to show the day and time options. There could also be an option next to to the user's name in the People list for accessing the days/times and extending them if needed.
