Canvas has a "to do" list, which is great if and when students log into Canvas. However, we all struggle with juggling multiple calendars, and try to have everything appear on a single calendar, if nothing else then for not double-booking ourselves and the convenience of not having to stress about checking in multiple places.
Most universities I know run on Microsoft365, meaning their students use Outlook Calendar. I am aware that Canvas Calendar can be synched with Outlook Calendar by individual students, such as by following these instructions: https://mitsloanedtech.mit.edu/support/how-to-sync-your-canvas-calendar-feed-to-outlook-in-office-36.... However, this is such a major issue that this should be resolved at the institutional issue, not at the individual student level. Hence, I propose that Canvas should provide an Outlook integration that the university Canvas admins can implement at the institutional level to automatically sync Canvas calendar with Outlook calendar of each user.
