I want to embed a PDF into a page where the page displays the page, not the link I uploaded from a computer. How do I do that?

I just wanted to also include an example of what the HTML code might look like.  In this example, I used a PowerPoint file, but the code should be similar for a PDF file or Word document.  Please note that I have highlighted some ID numbers and other information so that it's a little more generic.  These numbers would be different for you...including where it says "SchoolName" in the URL.

Hi @ErickaEppler ...

This should be pretty easy to do.  On the page in question, edit the page, and then click on the link.  A little pop-up should appear with two choices: "Link Options" and "Remove Link".  Click on "Link Options", and then a slide-out tray will appear on the right side of your screen.  You'll want to choose "Preview inline", and then if you want it to automatically display as soon as students view your content page, make sure to check the option, "Expand preview by Default".  There is more information here:

Thank you for responding. I tried your suggestion and read the articles. These didn't fix my problem. After I followed the steps you provided, the link flashed yellow for a brief moment and then displayed the link again.

Thanks for replying back.  Could you try completely re-creating the link?  Or, try creating a new page and then adding the link back to your page?  Maybe there is some rogue HTML code that is causing something funky to happen in your course.

@Chris_Hofer I tried recreating the link many times,  but it did not work. I then tried your suggestion, and that works! The difference was in the HTML where your sample file coded "auto_open," but the inline preview was disabled in my file. Now I can see the preview. Thank you!
