Flag or filter the assignments and grades sections that have comments.

I’m not sure how comments are supposed to work, but I have to go into each assignment and then click submission and rubrics to see if there is a comment. For 50 assignments, that’s 100 clicks to get to a comment, then each class. That is a lot of time spend clicking though.

notifications? There are millions. Can you add types or filters or flags? Most of the notifications are noise (a new assignment has been created, an assignment was submitted). The important stuff gets lost - actual communications from the teachers.

I understand you have a question about submission comments in Canvas. 

I am not sure if you are asking about this from the Student or Teacher perspective and if this is related to viewing the submission comments on the mobile app. Feel free to clarify! 

• From the students perspective, when they view the grades page, any assignments that have a submission Feedback/Comment will display a comment bubble as demonstrated HERE. If a Rubric has been used and the student has not viewed it, it should display a blue dot next to the rubric button in the grades page.
• One other feature that both the teacher and student role have is to be able to view and reply to Submission Comments directly from the inbox. This is another alternative for viewing the feedback without having to go into the course and assignment or grades page. 
• The instructor role also has the ability to leave and view comments from the gradebook if needed. HERE is a guide on how that works.
