Canvas iOS app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users enrolled in automatic updates over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available, but iOS users can manually update the app at any time in the App Store. The Canvas Teacher iOS App requires iOS 16.0 or later.

Teacher App Updates

• SpeedGrader tray is resizable in landscape mode.
• SpeedGrader displays course name, assignment name, and due date.
• Refreshed user interface for the SpeedGrader annotation bar, comments area, attempt and file pickers.
• Assignment Details is redesigned and includes a direct link to SpeedGrader.
• Additional guidance included on the QR login screen.
• Message from recipients field is editable when accessed from the submissions list screen.
• Grade posting supports recipient selection without issue.
• Discussions are accessible for users in cross-listed or cross-shared courses.
• WebView correctly adapts when switching between Dark and Light modes.
• Submitted files in New Quizzes open as expected.
• Embedded media playback stops appropriately when switching module items.
• Letter grades display accurately in all grading scenarios.
• Improved visual consistency for Dark Mode across multiple screens.
• Accessibility improvements.
