Canvas Teacher Release Notes (iOS 2.1)

Canvas iOS app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users enrolled in automatic updates over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available, but iOS users can manually update the app at any time in the App Store. The Canvas Teacher iOS App requires iOS 17.0 or later.

Teacher App Updates

  • SpeedGrader displays student comments submitted prior to the first assignment submission.
  • Custom status support.
  • Submission media comments can be viewed without downloading.
  • Discussion Checkpoint items are shown in Calendar
  • The grade sheet opens automatically when a user launches SpeedGrader.
  • The infinite loading animation on login no longer occurs.
  • Users with multiple accounts can access classic quizzes from all menus as expected.
  • Users on multiple instances can view embedded Studio videos without issue.
  • The Max Score button in SpeedGrader applies percentages correctly for percentage-based assignments.
