Canvas Teacher Release Notes (iOS 2.2)

Canvas iOS app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users enrolled in automatic updates over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available, but iOS users can manually update the app at any time in the App Store. The Canvas Teacher iOS App requires iOS 17.0 or later.

Teacher App Updates

  • Discussion Checkpoints display in the Assignment and Discussion list.
  • Submission list includes improved filtering and sorting options.
  • Differentiation tags can be used to filter submissions.
  • The reply button in Inbox’s navigation bar responds correctly without adding all recipients.
  • Assignments display reliably in all cases.
  • Embedded content loads properly on the assignment details screen.
  • File links from rich content open as expected.
