Unfortunately, I don't think anyone here in the Canvas Community would be able to answer this question for you because we do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or any of your courses such as the Principles of Programming Languages (CSE340) that you mention.  Your best option would be to contact your instructor directly.  You can do this right within Canvas by following the steps in this Guide:
