We've noticed in student access reports that some students have 85, or 112 or some other large number as page views for ALL graded discussions at the same time. We're talking 25 discussions with a view in the same minute, and same number of views (except for those where the student posted which have a few more). So, clearly there is a browser extension or bot working. I tested one browser extension which gave me page views for all graded discussions, but not the large numbers I am seeing in actual classes. Does anyone have a clue as to which extensions or bots might leave such a trail?
We are hoping it is not submitting, only gathering information about discussions, but we'd like to double check that this is not cheating or a bot. Anyone else had this experience?
I also have this question.
I have a student with page views (in Weekly Online Activity) in the thousands.
On three separate homework assignments, the page views are ~2000, ~3500, ~6000 views respectively. Certainly the student isn't viewing a homework file this many times...
Thanks for noticing and posting here, @dobodobodobo. Something automated is going on and I would like to know what it is. Something is checking all the graded discussions at once. It may just be a browser extension.
