Access to Enrollment History

Short version: Can Teachers view enrollment history at all? If an Observer is removed, will they be able to see that the Observer was once in the class?

Long version: We are doing some anonymous peer review. If a Teacher is removed from a course shell, Observers are added, and then the Observers are removed and the Teacher is added back, will the Teacher be able to see who the Observers were? I know that Canvas saves that data, but as long as the Observer is not added back in, will the Teacher ever be able to see it?

Hi @rwollner,

I don't think teachers would generally see any enrollment history of an observer, assuming the permissions are the default ones s that the observer can not post/interact with the class at all, and are totally deleted (not made inactive).  One thing I don't know is whether a teacher might be able to pull information out of the API, or how concerning that would be for you if they could.
