1. I would like to be able to set both their quizzes and exams' extra times for different students in the same course at once rather than separately. I want to be able to make a suggestion for future settings, whether or not they are possible.
2. Also, I would like to see another feature implemented in the future that lets me know if I'm setting the standard times for these ARC students incorrectly, and I'd like to be able to have a summary of the times, rather than how much time they've actually taken to complete the quizzes and exams. I would like to have a feature to self-check before they start their quizzes and exams, and technically, I would like to have a feature to self-check after I set up the system instead of re-calibrating them individually. It's a waste of time.
@SebastianeChen ...
These are both interesting suggestions. I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but the Canvas Community site that you are on right now actually has a dedicated space where you can submit your suggestions and ideas to be evaluated. You've posted both of these in the area to ask questions about Canvas. So, what you'll want to do is to submit two separate ideas using the links I'll provide below. And, it's also possible that as you create these ideas, you may find that someone has already posted a similar idea...in which case, it's not necessary to submit again (so as to avoid duplication). Here are the links you need:
Canvas Ideas and Themes - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
Click on the blue "View and Submit Ideas" button. Then, on the next screen, click on the blue "Submit an Idea" button...or just navigate to:
Canvas Ideas - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
You'll also want to make sure to review the Guides linked under the heading "Ideas and Themes" found on this link:
Instructure Community Guide - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
...again, making sure that you are submitting one idea per submission.
I hope this will help in some way!
Yes, I looked up if there was a duplicate suggestion and then there wasn't, which was disappointing. I've been TAing 3 online classes for 3 semesters in a row, and each semester I need to set up times for every quiz and exam between different classes for many students, and I'm terrified of missing them. Also, the methods that are available now are inefficient and time consuming.
@SebastianeChen ...
It's completely ok for you to submit these ideas to the Community. I'd encourage you to do that so that people have a chance to review them. The third link I provided includes a document under the "Ideas and Themes" heading on when they are open for voting twice a year.
Thank you for your suggestion! It is done accordingly.
