I am new to Canvas. I created a blank course for a teacher. We then wanted to replace that course with a copy of another teachers pages. I deleted the blank course and copied the other teachers course. All worked fine, except I want to give the newly copied course the same ssid as the one I deleted. When I try, I get an error message that that ID exists.
Does the deleted course still exist in a deleted file section? Have I lost the ability to reassign that SSID?
Thanks

@bweinstein Others may no more specifics on this but I thought all SSIDs had to be unique even if the "first" one is deleted since courses still can be recovered after deletion.
Is there a reason you do not just copy the content from one course to the blank one? That is how we handle these and because our Student Information System is what generates the courses so we need them to stay in sync.

Thanks. Yes I could copy, but unfortunately in this case I deleted and remade. I can modify the ssid for this one and be more careful the nettime.
