I'm teach MATLAB which is a coding environment where program files (scripts) are assigned the extension "*.m" by default. I keep this extension code when I upload scripts for students to view. And if I attempt to preview the script file, Canvas doesn't know what to do with it, even though it is just simple text.
I'd like to tell Canvas to treat files with MATLAB extensions exactly the same way as *.txt files.
Or maybe there is a option somewhere like "preview as" with a list of allowed filetypes.
Basically force Octave to regard the file as text, without changing the extension.
Thanks for instructions, work-arounds, tricks, &c.
