Allowing Canvas to access Chromebook's mic

Students are completing an assignment using the "Record Media" option in Canvas. A few students' recordings do not include audio.
Is there a place to check that Canvas is allowed to access their microphones or to change allowances if they've been selected already?
Any other suggestions?

This is more likely a browser setting. Have them go to the assignment in question, then look for a little icon just to the left of the web address. It might look like some lines/circles or a lock. That is your site info. Click on it and select Site Settings. Look for Microphone on the list and see what it says. If it says Block, then change it to Allow or Ask. Sometimes, when asked, students will hit an option that blocks use of the microphone. Once set, you have to go into settings to change it.
See if that works first, then let us know if it does not work (or is already set to Allow).
