Ahoy all,
I feel like I've done something wrong or it's counterintuitive. Issue: Posting announcements is sending to my external email but not to my internal Canvas Inbox. I thought the internal notice was a default. My searches for help are coming up empty.
I specifically turned on my notifications at course level JIC to send announcements created by me and others immediately. They're coming across externally as expected. I checked with my beta students, and they're not getting notified there, either. Am I 100% wrong that these aren't pushed internally?

@s_greathouse Announcements notifications do not go to the Canvas inbox. That is only "conversations" Canvas' version of email. They do go externally if that option is selected, as you stated. They also show on the Canvas dashboard (under the little megaphone under the course tile), under the Announcements tab in the course, if the instructor has selected to have any announcements show at the top of the course they will show there as well.
