How do I hide announcements from last semester from student view?

Hi @StephanieMEEK

You can control the announcements via the subaccount settings.

Old announcements can be deleted.

They can have dates applied and be made visible to certain roles.

Hi there, @StephanieMEEK ...

Announcements don't have a "publish" icon like other areas of a Canvas course.  With that being said, there are a few similar discussion topics I've found that confirm this:

• How to hide announcements in Canvas.
• We need the capability to close or hide an Announcement
• How do I hide announcements copied from a previous course?

In addition, there is an Idea that has been submitted by a community member called:

• [Announcements] Publish and Unpublish Announcements

This Idea is part of a larger Theme called:

I'd encourage you to follow both this Idea and the related Theme so that if/when this becomes open for voting, you'll be able to participate in that process as well as any conversations around the topic.
