Assigning a Quiz to a group

Please add the assign to a group function to Quizzes that is already there for other assignment types. I have hundreds of students, split into several different class times per week, who I need to set quizzes for different due dates (prior to their attending tutorials). At the moment I need to manually assign each weekly quiz to the individuals in each group - which takes ages. 

All other assignments let me assign by group, why not quizzes?

Please fix this. I know it has been brought up before, so please act upon your users requests.

In Canvas, Groups are used for collaborative work. Think in terms of "teams." Because Quizzes are done individually, you can't assign them to Groups.

Instead, you need to set up "Sections." Sections are used to differentiate students. You can assign Quizzes to Sections.

Your posting sounds more like an Idea to submit to Instructure rather than a question.  There is a separate area here in the Community where you can search for and submit Ideas.  Those Ideas are then open for voting a couple times a year for people to evaluate.  You can read all about Ideas and Themes by looking at the Guides listed under the heading "Ideas and Themes" using the following link:

If the suggestion from @SusanNiemeyer might instead meet your needs, you might want to give that a try.  If not, then I suggest that you consider submitting a new Idea to the Community.  (You could copy/paste much of what you wrote above into your new Idea.)
