I have folder with 70 files, one for each student group, that I want to link to from the Assignment page, but I cannot seem to get a link to the folder, which is inside the course's Canvas page. None of the (archived) suggestions help:
Please tell me that this is possible, I really do not want to link separately to the 70 different files one by one, as I'm sure you understand.
Thanks

@FabianChalmers ...
Thank you for the clarification. This helps. Unfortunately, I don't think there is an easy way for you to link to folders located in your "Files" area of your course. I found a related feature idea that was submitted back in January 2021, but it's been archived.
Links to folders, not just files, in pages
It might be worth submitting this idea again?

Hi @FabianChalmers ...
Did you create actual groups in your course (via the "People" page) for your students? If so, have you thought about uploading those files to those specific group areas rather than uploading them to course folders in your overall course "Files" area of the course?
Thanks,
Yes, I have groups, 70 of them. My issue is not uploading or viewing course files. Apparently I was unclear in describing my issue.
So I have a course with 70 groups (140 students), and each group is to have an individual XML file that I have auto-generated and named according to the group number, Group_01.xml, Group_02.xml, etc. I have now put those 70 files into a folder under the course Files, and I want to post a link on the Assignments page so that the students can through that link find all the files and download the one for their own group.
My problem is putting a link to the specific folder with the XML files on the Assignments page for that particular assignment. I really do not want to do 70 drag-and-drops of individual files, neither to the Assignments page nor into the group files pages.

In addition to what Chris provided you with, if you're just talking about trying to get the link to the folder that has all your files on it, it is possible, and all you need to do it use the URL that is in the search bar when you're on that page, and link it to wherever you need. It might also be a good idea to have the Files button enabled on your course's side-navigation bar if it isn't already. When I tested it students couldn't see anything unless the button was enabled and the files folder was published.
Hope this helps, too! All the best.
