Can I duplicate a question in a different category?

I was wondering if there was a way to duplicate a question in a different form.

For example duplicating a multiple choice question into a numerical category?

From what I saw when I tested this out, there is not an easy way to duplicate the question and change the type of question that it is. The only way to really do this is to copy the text from the question originally setup as multiple choice, create the numerical question and paste the text into the new numerical question type. 

New quizzes does have a duplicate question function, but it looks like if you try and duplicate, it will not allow you to change the question type. 

With the Classic quizzes engine, if you have your questions stored in banks, you can add the question twice to the quiz. You can edit the question if you have placed it in the quiz, and you can change the type. Changing it from multiple choice to numerical will retain the some of basic details of the question, but you'll have to edit the answers.
