Can I use Beta and Test to test things interchangably?

I understand that Beta specifically refreshes weekly and features new updates, and Test refreshes monthly, but from a general testing perspective, does it matter which one I use? If I want to test something unrelated to new releases, like a CSV upload or Blueprint change, for example.

I use both interchangeably for the most part, depending on whether or not the refresh cycle will have an impact on what I'm trying to test.  

I do try to be aware that beta may have some features that do not work *100%* the way they do in production, but generally that is not an issue.  (Of course, beta is where you go if you're trying to test new features...)
