I am a teacher. can't see the information for the last student on my grade screen. Anyone else having this problem? Here's a screen shot:
As you can see, it is hard to read the information in the last row. Clicking on the scroll bar does not change the position...

Hi @NoahBoswell , @ThayerMerritt , and @stimme ...
It appears that this is a known issue, and will eventually be fixed as a Canvas Deploy. Please review this recent thread that I've recently seen in the Commnity:
Also, you can find the Canvas Release Notes and Deploy Notes here:
Canvas Releases - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
I hope this will be of help to you. Sing out if you have questions.

Hi @jim_walker1 ,
I'm assuming the student you're trying to view is the one mostly covered by the scroll bar on the bottom?
This issue usually relates to the size of your screen, sometimes if your screen is zoomed in too much (even at 100%!), it will display in a way that will cover up important information, such as student's grades in your case.
I recommend trying to minimize the size of your screen, and seeing if that works!
Let me know if it works or not, and feel free to come back with any more questions!
Have a wonderful day,
Noah B.
Multiple users on our two institutions are seeing the same. Even removed all custom JS/CSS in our beta environment. It doesn't appear to be related to screen zoom either.
There appear to be spacing issues with user names and spacing on some pages in addition to the gradebook
Hi, @ThayerMerritt ,
Thanks for that information! Did removing all the custom JS/CSS in your beta environment do anything at all to solve this issue?
I'm sure several other institutions are experiencing the the same, or similar issues. If you wouldn't mind sharing any possible solutions to fix this issue.
Thanks so much!
Removing the custom JS/CSS didn't resolve the issue; a team member and I both spot-checked this afternoon, and we're both seeing the last line being cut off, still.
Names also appear to be offset up-from-center in the name column as well, where the grades themselves are center vertical/horizontal
I'm seeing the same thing in our Canvas system. One workaround is going into Student View to create a Test Student user for the course. The Test Student is always placed in the last row, so the horizontal scroll bar should not be blocking scores of actual students. Another workaround is setting scroll bars to show only when scrolling (at the operating system level).

Hey @Chris_Hofer ,
Appreciate this information, thank you.
Thank you!
Hi @jim_walker1 ...
I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of moving your new topic to be included with your original topic which you first posted on 4/19/2024. That way, we don't have two separate conversations going on about the same topic. I'm not sure if you've had a chance to review any of the responses here, but as you can see from my response on 4/19/2024, it's a known issue. However, I'm not sure when they will fix it as part of their Deploy Notes. I would suggest following the Deploy Notes link that I provided above so that you can know when it has been fixed.
I hope this info will be helpful to you.
We're seeing the same on our side here, too.
The full row is visible, with a tiny scroll bar indeed.
I discovered that we're able to use two fingers on a track pad with a laptop to move it left and right. It helps, but sometimes it appears to be act a little glitchy.
Thanks Noah,
Yes, that works, but it's not ideal for those using a mouse (shift + mouse scroll up and down works for the left/right scrolling), or laptop users who don't have a multi-touch touchpad.
Some users do prefer the scroll bars, and in cases with a big grade book, an up-down/right-left scroll might be too much a jump where a "grabbable bar" will be a finer movement.
Thanks again.
@christopher_ch6, @ThayerMerritt, and @NoahBoswell ...
I'd suggest reporting this to the Canvas Help Desk staff so that they can investigate it further with the smaller scroll bars. If a ticket has already been submitted, they'll add your name to the existing ticket so that you are updated when it has been fixed.
