Can we add outside email address still? It looks like we lost the functionality to do so?!?!

We used to be able to have students have non University email types and it worked, none it does not.  Can we re-enable this feature?

Students should be able to add an email address to their contact preferences.

How do I add an additional email address as a contact method in Canvas as a student? 

I wonder if your Institution made a change. If your student are unable to follow the lesson here, encourage them to visit your Canvas Support team on campus or submit a help ticket How do I get help with Canvas as a student?
