Canvas Admin: Similarity Pledge Formatting

Hello,

I'm running into an issue where formatting is removed for the Similarity Pledge in Canvas Admin.  Our school has a rather lengthy and specific academic integrity pledge (Thank you ChatGPT!), and it becomes unreadable when the formatting is removed.

Do you know if there is a trick to preserve the formatting when editing the similarity pledge field?  I've tried copying HTML to no avail, and the text area box on the admin page does not even accept line breaks as formatting.

I'm considering trying a javascript hack via the theme file, but I know that it will likely break and won't be functional in the IOS / Android apps.

If there is no such trick, I'd love to put in a feature request.

Hello @AnthonyLarson Alongside the JavaScript approach you mentioned, it might be helpful to revisit the statement. When I reviewed the screen capture, I saw an opportunity to make the wording more concise.

Another thought: do you by chance have the Canvas Impact tool? This would enable you to create a custom formatted message for all these Turnitin assignments. It could include the statement along with links to pages such as an honor code, writing guides, tutoring, etc. About Impact message types: What are the types of Impact messages? - Instructure Community - 496664

Thanks @Jeff_F, We do not have the Canvas Impact tool, but I will check it out to see if it works for our school.  As for the lengthy wording, I agree, but I am not the one who determines the wording.
