Canvas Assignments

Hey i have a teacher who is describing this issue. 

1. Many English 11 Honors students have reported to me that they submitted their assignment yesterday on time, but it was noted as submitted late on Canvas. I checked and it seems the majority of the class submitted it at the same time (late, all around the same time). This leads me to think there is a technical issue on the part of Canvas. As well, many students are still having trouble loading the assignment pages. This problem occurs in school but not at home on their school-issued Chromebook. Can you please look into this? Thank you.

2.Many students are saying that they cannot load their Canvas assignment pages. Sometimes a part of the page will appear, but not all of it. For some students, reloading the page has helped. For others, it does not fully load despite refreshing or rebooting.They say it only happens with Canvas, not Google Classroom or other sites.

thanks for submitting this question.  It's kind of hard to troubleshoot without having a lot more info.  But I'll give it a try!

1. One thing that occurs to me -- if the Due Date states a Date and Time and you can see the students submitted late -- I might wonder if the the teacher's computer is set to a different time zone (??) when they create the assignment?  
2. Problem with loading pages:   Is there a super large image on the page that could be causing it to be slow to load?    Check the wifi strength at your school -- we had an issue with slow pages or slow uploading of assignments and it turned out to be we had a bad hub in the classroom and the students' devices were trying to access the hub in a different part of the building.

Another option to check regarding the submission time (because I have accidentally done this before)...make sure the time for when it is correct for AM/PM.
