Canvas Calendar ability to mark assignments as completed

I've been using Canvas for almost 14 years now and the product has improved greatly over that time. But, the one thing that I have hoped for hasn't been implemented yet.

I assume I'm not the only student that looks at the Canvas calendar to see what assignments they have due each week. It drives me to the point of insanity some times that I can't just mark an assignment on the calendar as completed. Currently, I go back and forth between the calendar, the modules page or grades page and McGraw Hill Connect to make sure I remembered to do all of my assignments.

This could be done much more simply by just allowing students to mark assignments as complete on the calendar.
