Hi - I'm a Canvas Admin and would like to know if anyone knows what it means. When entering grades in Canvas, our instructor is adding/updating one grade for one student and the grade he enters changes all students in the class to that same grade. Please see video below. Thank you!
I wasn't seeing ALL grades change, only some. Is it possible this is a Group Assignment set to assign the same grade to all members of the group? So when one member is changed, all members update? Just a thought - I'm not currently a classroom teacher and don't have a way to test this behavior.
That is definitely strange behavior and I have never seen it occur. My advise would be to contact Canvas support and see what they have to say about that issue - hopefully they can figure it out.
Also, you should probably cover the student names when posting on the forum.

I was finally able to get a hold of Canvas tech support and that is exactly what they said. Group assignment so the instructor will have to make the update on his side. Thank you.
