Canvas Inbox- retrieving older messages

I need to find messages that were exchanged between myself and one of my professors last semester. I had an issue and need to be able to attach messages showing the conversations between us in which we discussed my  technical issues, submission of late work and  how it would impact my ending grade in order to petition for a grade change. I need to submit all proof or supporting documents which is why I need to retrieve these messages from the previous semester.

In your Canvas Inbox, did you try clicking on the "Inbox" dropdown list at the top left corner of the screen to select "Archived" or "Submission Comments" to see if any of those conversations are located there?

From a Canvas administrator perspective, that person at your school may be able to dig a little deeper into this for you by using this admin tool:

You might want to seek this person out at your school...or talk with someone in your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Education department to see if they might be able to help you.
