Hello, I am running into an issue with receiving notifications for Canvas Deploy Notes. The help tab displays a red dot whenever a new release comes out, and I do not have show badges for new release notes selected. It is a minor inconvenience to manually clear these when they come up. Is anyone else running into this issue?
For context: I am running on MacOS. I have used multiple browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox (in the screenshot,) and Safari. No matter which browser I am using the notifications seem to come up, and the toggle button is off on every browser.

Hi @AustinBlinn,
I have tried to duplicate the problem that you have described but I have not been able to.
I think you might be a student because you selected the "Student" label when creating this question. Have you reported this to your school's Canvas team? If you have not, I would recommend doing that.
Your school's Canvas team will then look into it to see if there is anything unique to your Canvas user account or to your school's Canvas environment.
Depending on what they find, they will proceed accordingly and possibly contact Canvas Support or ask you to reach out to Canvas Support directly on your own.

Hi @AustinBlinn,
I believe that the "Show badges for new release notes" is not the "New" text and it is the notification number that appears for the "Help" button.
Do you have a notification "bubble" for the "Help" button?
-Doug
This is correct. I get a red bubble over the "Help" button anytime there is a new version of canvas.
