Canvas is not showing student status on modules correctly

One of the students reported that Canvas is only showing that she completed the pre and post tests for module 11 in the Master Gardener Course but she has completed the entire module. How do I fix that?

Hi @Maridogs, we cannot see the module as this is a general Canvas forum.

But what are the other elements in that module? Does the module have completion requirements for those other elements as well? Are they to view the item, submit an assignment, or something else?

yes, they have to watch the videos in the module and this person has done that but for some reason, the system isn't recognizing that she completed those tasks. Is there someone I should talk to?

That pins it down a bit, but there are still different ways to post a video.

Is it inside a quiz, as an assignment (with a linked external tool like Canvas Studio or Panopto), a link to a video site (like YouTube), or something else?

For example, if the video is inside a quiz, perhaps the student viewed the video but didn't submit the quiz?

Its weird because she said it shows that she completed the pre- and post- quizzes, which she did complete. I am not sure what the format was of the videos she completed but she did complete them all.

I think it's going to be difficult to assist without knowing more about how the module and its requirements are set up, but perhaps someone else has an idea.

By default, modules don't have to be completed in order, so it is definitely possible to complete a quiz that is below a video assignment, if the module doesn't explicitely require students to move through the requirements in order.

Hi @jcarpenter1 -- as @Gabriel33 mentioned, please take a screenshot of your Module so we can see each item.  It will tell us what Requirements of completion might have been set.
