Cap Weighted Category Grade at 100%

I'd like to be able to cap the score for one category at 100%. (I use weighted categories for overall grade calculations.) This category contains assignments where students can work ahead (by doing extra tasks one week) so that they have a cushion if they need to take a break the following week. As of right now, I have a manual and complicated system of "banking" extra points for them, then "re-allocating" those banked points when they get behind. I do this solely so that the category weight doesn't exceed 100%. 

I'm not using this for any "extra credit" purposes, but to allow kids to work a bit more at their own pace.

@MelanieDeverMC You may be interested in checking out the community's Canvas Ideas space. While this forum is for users to get help from other community users, that space is for providing Instructure with new feature ideas for Canvas. I agree that they definitely need more flexibility around grading.
