Hello, I would really like to know if it's possible to edit the icons available in the canvas navigation menu. For example, changing the icon of the "control panel" button and adding another button, an extra button in the menu. Is this possible? If so, how?

Hi @fabiodantas ,
You will need access to the "Themes" link to make adjustments. You may need to reach out to your school's Customer Success Manager so they can enable custom javascript for your institution, this is a setting only they can turn on for you.
Upon this setting being enabled, you can open the theme editor and click upload, and upload your custom code to adjust the icons.
There is no other way to directly adjust the icons to anything custom other than the default icons Canvas provides you with, there's no setting available for that.

@fabiodantas Yes, this is possible., if you are a Canvas Account Admin. Do you have Admin priveleges in your institution's Canvas instance?
Yes, I do, but I can't find where it's configured.

Yes, I managed to style the bar using JavaScript! Thank you.
@fabiodantas You may want to look at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Developers-Group/How-do-I-add-Global-Nav-item/m-p/188828. It looks like it will take some custom coding. Also, when installing LTIs, they sometimes have placement options that include the Global Navigation.
