Changing Question Type in Item Banks

Hello, 

I am an administrator and an instructor. I would like to know if a question created in an Item Bank in New Quizzes can be modified to a different type of question? For example, the question was created as an Essay type question, and I would like to change it to a Fill in the Blank type of question. When I hit the edit button, it does not give me the choice of changing the question. Please see the screenshot below for reference.

Hi there, Mounika

As far as I know and testing in my Canvas this possibility is not in available. However, it would be very usefull. 

The only option you have is re-generate the question in the type question you need.
