Convert discussion to assignment

Can you make it possible to convert a discussion to an assignment and visa versa?

Sometimes a teacher will make a discussion and then realise it would be better as an assignment or visa versa. It is tedious and time consuming to have to copy and paste into new format and then delete the former.  

I'd love to see this option become available.

The short answer is no. The only way to move content from a Discussion to an Assignment (and so on) is to cut and paste.

It would be good if Canvas could add this as a feature.
