Hi Canvas world, I was wondering if there is a setting or easy way to copy a course and have that course be published by default? Currently when I copy a course or import course content it resets the shell to unpublished.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Greetings @BenjaminShorb ,
By default, all courses are unpublished and you must manually publish them. There is currently no way to have them automatically published, at least to my knowledge. When you create a new course, it remains unpublished by default so you're able to work on the course and give it your finishing touches before it is published for your students by you.
Sorry about that!
Best,
Noah

Thanks Noah. Due to some other administrative things we have going on it is a feature that I wish existed and had been searching for in our canvas settings. At least I am glad to know it is not something I was missing.
Always happy to help! Please feel free to always reach back out with any additional questions or concerns.
