Copying assignment from previous year and changing Google Doc

One of our teachers is attempting to copy an assignment from the Master course to a section. Once the assignment is copied, she then is modifying the Google Assignments that are attached. When the students are opening the assignment, it is still showing the old links, not the new. 

Anyone else having this issue?
