Welcome to the Canvas Community.  This is a public discussion board for Canvas users from different schools all over the world.

Canvas is a Learning Management System, used primarily to deliver course materials to students.  There is an overview at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/What-is-Canvas/ta-p/45 

Are you using Canvas through your school, or are you using the "Free for Teacher" version?  If you are using it through your school, the school may have specific resources set up for you.
