This morning I got a notification that a professor had commented on an assignment from a few months ago. I looked on canvas on my iPhone and it said the comment was from March 23, 2024 12:48am but when I look on my computer it says it was from May 9, 2024 9:52am. How could that be? When was this comment actually sent?

Hello @AidanMcMillan,
There is a possibility that the date set on your phone maybe different from the date set on your computer. I do recommend that you email support@instructure.com to look into the backend to see what could be the cause in the different timestamps.

It think there is sync issue between your iPhone and computer. The app on your phone might not have updated the comment's timestamp correctly. The date on your computer is more likely to be accurate since it's probably synced directly with Canvas's servers. You could try refreshing the Canvas app on your phone or reinstalling it to see if the date corrects itself. Learn more about here.
