I have copied two different courses using the "import" function, copying all materials from one shell to a new one. Each time, I have also utilized the "adjust dates" tool, in one case adjusting the dates by a couple of days, and in the other case adjusting the dates by a couple of weeks.
Each time, the resulting date adjustment was not only incorrect, but made the first assignments arbitrarily due the day after the course opened and then everything flowed incorrectly from there. Anyone else had tis problem?

While I cannot say that I've had this experience (I am a Canvas admin and do not teach courses in Canvas), you may know already that you can batch update your due dates in your course via the "Assignments" index page.
